The Taste of Tex-Mex lingers on

It’s been more than 40 years and the taste of Tex-Mex food I relished with Graciela, my Mexican roommate still tickles my taste buds.

The INDO-MEX Connection

"She says Tortilla, and I say Roti! Is it Black Beans or Rajma, Jalapeno or Chillies, Gorditas or Parathas, Mexican Rice or Indian Pulav?"

The friendly fight goes on for almost all the Mexican dishes. The striking similarities to Indian dishes being very strong, is one of the main reasons why we Indians tend to enjoy Mexican cuisines from the Northern Mexico across the border into Texas, USA. The Tex-Mex version is now popularly called Texican.
